Teaching adults is a whole different ballgame. They want to know what "whose" means.
'Whose pigs are these' is a song I might teach at this point if I was teaching kids. Conclusion: my new job is a challenge.
Helloo. Today I am starting my daily commute into the city to study grammar and learn how to teach it.. I will miss my leisurely days!
Yesterday I saw many fascinating mummies and statues at the British Museum. What a great place to wander around on your own--so many people from all over the world. It looks like my head is as big as the museum. It isn't.Then I met up with Sarah and Jacqui, two girls I met on my Vietnam/Cambodia adventure. We ate Vietnamese food in Soho. I might be OK with this London thing after all.
paint me a horse on a wall!
This is a picture I took at the Baker Street tube station. Mr Holmes keeps a lookout all day and night.
London bricks and bricksand funny-named roads
flipping nervousBen folds gives me the soundtrack I needto block out the London noise. la la la.An interview tomorrow makes my stomach flip already.Or it could be the two Rolo cookies I ate after dinner. Totally oishii.
I can't post photos here yet. But soon, little one. Simone and I got to do sushi-go-round and catch up with an old pal Ed on Friday. It's funny how three years of news can be relayed in a few minutes. And any of you who read this blog, will need even less time to hear my news. Lately I have mostly been riding the tube, looking at art and making some life-changing decisions. Big things in the big city.
I live in London. First night here I hung out in Angel. What a cool name for a district.
I had an interview for a job at a Japanese school yesterday.
"Describe yourself in 5 words", he said. "Ummmm", I said.
What would you have said?
I hang out at the library. So many books...too much time.
