sunday markets
Tania was in London!...we enjoyed a shuffle around Spittalfields market and caught up on the latest chapters. And off she went towards China, again!
Then, Simone and I met Dai and Hajime for some fun in Notting Hill and Hyde Park. This is a picture of the book shop from the Notting Hill film. Huge Grant wasn't there. Or Julia. But there were lots of interesting books.

in berlin
I just got back from Berlin. I ate and ate and walked and walked.
I love German breakfast and coffee. If I lived there I would be such a restaurant junkie.
My favourite place to visit was the orange umbrella-ed Bratwurst man, and it was fun riding the trains around. My next adventure begins soon. I promise to keep you posted from around the world. Viel spass.

funny how everyday can make you get a little closer to your dreams
yet I still hold on tighter
so that it doesnt all disappear
for good

take you down to chinatown...
When you have a bad day, you either dwell on it and have a grump, or you go to a bar in Chinatown with some nice new friends I used to teach a couple of weeks ago. My students told me not to worry that I failed my class today. No worries...

love is just a game...
The Magic Numbers sang for us last night in Nottingham. They have such pretty voices and there were sooooo many people there. I realised that Simone and I are like hobbits in England. People are so tall, and we are wee.

My students this week are a hoot. We stumble through English together. I just got back from a fun evening in the pub--something our tutor asked us to do this afternoon. So we followed orders and this is what we did.

the long and wine-ding road
to be wine wise, one must visit a vineyard. the largest one in england is not so far from where we live. today simone and i and some wine savvy friends went to sniff, sample, ride in a wee car through the cellars, and touch the grapes. if you squeeze a black grape, the juice is clear. i learn new things everyday.

words, words, words
another funny named road
and a plea on a tube door

Juan Carlos, one of my students, has three pairs of converse. One black, one pink and one green. My favourite part of teaching is the breaktime, when I can find out these things...
My tutors still say I talk too much-- I never thought anyone would say that about me! How strange it is to not recognise yourself. And to consider the present perfect tense daily.
