Miss Austen

Jane Austen's stories have given me hours of escapism over the years, and I can't help but feel I should have been living in those days. Walking through fields of flowers in big frocks and blushing at bowing gentlemen. Times were simpler back then. I would be able to sew and play the piano forte for visitors. I would also speak without contractions. Where did the well-spoken lady disappear to?

rant time

After applying to the OHP (Oregon Health Plan) for some health insurance--I've been living every day in fear of breaking an arm, leg etc etc--the lady called, Sam told them about the GI bill money he gets for his school...
A few days later, we are told we have too much money for help. Which is really ridiculous. Ahh, I don't get it! Jobless. Insurance-less. Stoopid America and your stoopid health system. Come on changes.
