Run...run like the wind...
I spent the day at another sports day in Shingo, watching the kids play games and saying hellos and how-are-yous to everyone I met. I was in two events...the tie your feet together and walk like a centipede event, and the teacher-parent relay race. Our centipede came last, and our relay team came first. I had a great time. Sports were never this much fun for me as a child!

I do the stupidest things when I am a) sleepy, and b) emotional.
a+b=see?
Today I felt the way when you were a kid and you realised you couldn't touch the bottom of the pool.
A rough start to today, but those Shingo students are always fun. Kei wore my handbag for an English skit, and I made another boy snort like a giggly pig. Yakisoba o tabete irun dayo. Neresha and Mandy met me for edamame and donuts--it's super nice to have friends.

Things become clearer in time....
I find that kidding oneself makes it easier to get through the tough times.
This may be unhealthy.

Tag...you're it
Next time you play tag, look at the smiles that people can't help but have as they run around. It's so cool.

Mr Mickey
I went back to work today. The Junior High kids made me smile with their questions...it was just what I needed, truly. One boy wrote in a report about his school trip to Tokyo DisneyLand: I took many attractions and shopping. Mr Mickey was obstructing the way.
I wrote back: Mr Mickey has a big head, doesnt he?
Maybe my English is not quite right. Hello, I'm an English teacher.
It's funny the things you hold on to when you are are down. I've been looking at old pictures of when I first came to Japan...have I been here that long??

It's been a strange few days...I've hardly eaten (this aint normal for me), my body is rejecting the food and liquid I do put in it, and I cant sleep. I went to the Japanese doctor today...he looked at my stomach and gave me enough medicine to cure an elephant. On top of all of this, I am not really enjoying being Kerry right now. I am learning some things I dont want to...and it hurts. I talk in riddles for a reason...it's a window into my feelings. Here's to tomorrow.

Today it rained...I am in Gyeonju, where there are many temples and round green hill-type burial mounds. Erica and I went on a bike ride and now I am a little saddle-sore. We managed to get asked to have our picture taken with some Korean firemen who were doing a fire-drill at a big temple...and I just ate chinese food (a welcome change to the spicy diet I have been on for the past few days). Highlight of the day...I met a Cambodian monk in a museum. I was so excited.
